In our 25 years of erecting towers we’ve completed some very unique projects. A few were very large statewide build outs that we’d like to mention.
- Michigan State Police 800 MHz communication system- The build was (180) new tower sites spread throughout Michigan in all types of terrain conditions. These towers had an average height of 430 feet, and included many guyed towers close to 500 feet as well as dozens of 485’ foot self support towers. We have continued to work with Motorola and the State of Michigan to add new counties and municipalities onto this State system including: Genesee County, Macomb County, Mason/ Oceana Counties, the City of Detroit and St. Clair County.
- Project Hoosier Safety- ERS worked on the “Project Hoosier Safety” build with Motorola and Hanson Professional Services. “Project Hoosier Safety” is Indiana’s multi agency 800 MHz communication system. We performed tower construction and tower modification work, antenna and line installs, and provide tower infrastructure for lease as needed for this project.
- State of Virginian STARS Radio System- In 2006 ERS began a project with Motorola and Pyramid Network Services for the State of Virginia (Stars) radio system and will complete almost 300 towers in the next few years statewide.
- ERS has worked on include Marion County, Indiana (MECA); Independence, Missouri; Allen County, Indiana; City of Detroit, MI; Lucas County, Ohio; and the State of Ohio (MARCS) Project.
- ERS is also part of the Motorola Disaster Relief Team and helped get public service communications back online for the city of New Orleans and surrounding areas after Hurricane Katrina.
